They taste so good you&#039;ll never believe they&#039;re a healthy dessert!\" width=\"680\" height=\"1020\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.theleangreenbean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Gluten-Free-Sweet-Potato-Brownies-5.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.theleangreenbean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Gluten-Free-Sweet-Potato-Brownies-5-133x200.jpg 133w, https:\/\/www.theleangreenbean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Gluten-Free-Sweet-Potato-Brownies-5-367x550.jpg 367w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*Originally published June 2014*<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hi Friends!<\/p>\n<div id=\"qo9oud7cjwnjo9scdkdw\" data-autoplay=\"1\" data-volume=\"30\" data-ratio=\"16:9\">These Gluten-Free Sweet Potato Brownies have been a staple around here for over six years so I decided it was time to remind you about them in case you missed them the first time around!&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div data-autoplay=\"1\" data-volume=\"30\" data-ratio=\"16:9\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div data-autoplay=\"1\" data-volume=\"30\" data-ratio=\"16:9\">This is by far one of my favorite recipes on the blog because they&#8217;re so easy to make in the food processor, they taste great and no one will believe you when you tell them what&#8217;s in them!<\/div>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"\/\/scripts.mediavine.com\/videos\/qo9oud7cjwnjo9scdkdw.js\" async=\"\" data-noptimize=\"\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>To make these brownies you just need a few simple ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medjool dates &#8211; if yours aren&#8217;t soft and squishy, try soaking them in hot water for 10 minutes first!<\/li>\n<li>Mashed sweet potato &#8211; to make one quickly, stab a sweet potato all over with a knife and microwave 5-6 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Peanut butter- you could also use almond butter or another nut or seed butter<\/li>\n<li>Eggs<\/li>\n<li>Cocoa powder &#8211; unsweetened is best!<\/li>\n<li>Applesauce &#8211; you could probably also sub mashed banana<\/li>\n<li>Baking soda<\/li>\n<li>Chocolate chips &#8211; we like Hershey&#8217;s special dark<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s it! Minus maybe the dates, I bet you have all of the ingredients already in your pantry. If you&#8217;re feeling skeptical as to whether these will turn out without having any flour, you&#8217;re not alone&#8230;but believe me when I tell you they&#8217;re worth a try!<\/p>\n<h2 blender) and process until smooth.<\/li>\n<li id=\"instruction-step-2\">Add the cocoa powder and baking soda and pulse until combined.<\/li>\n<li id=\"instruction-step-3\">Add in the chocolate chips a pulse a few times to mix in.<\/li>\n<li id=\"instruction-step-4\">Spoon into a greased 9&#215;9 pan and bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in comes out clean.<\/li>\n<li id=\"instruction-step-5\">Optional frosting: When cooled, top with nut butter, melt nut butter and more chocolate chips in the microwave, stir to combine and spread over brownies or top with your
